Digitalisation is significantly shaping the cleaning industry through the use of a new generation of autonomous cleaning robots and automated processes, with battery technology playing a special role. The international cleaning industry is meeting in Berlin until 22 September with around 25,000 experts from 80 countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Digital and sustainable solutions are the focal points for the participants. Innovations are characterised by increasing digitalisation, the use of artificial intelligence and constantly improving battery technology. However, the shortage of personnel is also increasingly becoming an obstacle to growth, as commercial cleaning remains a labour-intensive sector. Service providers and clients are therefore looking forward to innovations that make work easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lots of research and development from Germany<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das gr\u00f6\u00dfte Potential ist durch Forschung und Entwicklung der heimischen Branche zu erwarten, aber auch von anderen L\u00e4ndern gehen Impulse aus. \u201eDeutsche Betriebe sind nach wie vor Innovationsgeber in diesem Segment\u201c, berichtet AKKU SYS Fachmann Caspar Garve. Am Stand des Gro\u00dfh\u00e4ndlers demonstriert Garve interessierten Kunden Wissenswertes \u00fcber die Leistung der eingesetzten Batterietechnologie, etwa in sogenannten Saug-Wisch-Automaten. Richtige \u201aGame-Changer\u2018 werden Reinigungsmaschinen f\u00fcr Dienstleistungsbetriebe dann, wenn sie fahrerlos betrieben und dank optimaler Energiezufuhr \u00fcber einen langen Zeitraum eingesetzt werden k\u00f6nnen. Ob mit oder ohne Fachkraft, der Einsatz der richtigen und nachhaltigen Batterietechnik spielt eine entscheidende Rolle. Mit Blick auf Preis, Flexibilit\u00e4t und Verf\u00fcgbarkeit r\u00e4t der Fachmann hier zu technologieoffenen Systemen, bei denen Austausch und Wiederbeschaffung nicht an den Hersteller des Ger\u00e4tes gebunden sind. Mit Blick auf die Nachhaltigkeit sollte bei Batterietechnik auf einen entsprechenden Fachbetrieb gesetzt werden. Beispielsweise holt Gro\u00dfh\u00e4ndler AKKU SYS Blei-Batterien kostenfrei bei Kunden ab und \u00fcberf\u00fchrt die wertvollen Rohstoffe zur Aufbereitung wieder in einen zertifizierten und geschlossenen Recycling-Kreislauf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Countering obstacles to growth through digitalisation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flexibility and ergonomics are also making progress in the cleaning machine sector thanks to ever-improving battery technology. Nevertheless, commercial cleaning as a whole remains a very labour-intensive sector in which staff shortages are increasingly becoming an obstacle to growth. Jobs remain unfilled and some companies are unable to deliver, which is a problem for clients in particular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are numerous examples of this: In the case of photovoltaics, for example, cleaning processes are critical factors for energy production and longevity. If roads and footpaths are not cleaned regularly by sweepers, they quickly fall into a state that is critical for repair, with exponentially higher costs for the public sector. Good hygiene through reliable cleaning is a critical factor in many healthcare facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CMS Berlin<\/a> will take place from 19 - 22 September 2023 and is the leading trade fair for cleaning and hygiene.
